October 2009, Amazon finally announced their long awaited version of their Kindle for e-book outside of the U.S.

This is indeed really exciting news for the ever growing number of ebook fans world-wide! The new Kindle is already set to be shipped to eagerly waiting customers from around the globe.

You can now receive your electronic books, as well as newspapers and magazines wirelessly while at home or abroad in over 100 countries world-wide. Amazon says it is possible to have your book downloaded and ready to be enjoyed in 1 minute or less.

Part of this process is the same 3G wireless technology you’ll find in advanced mobile phones. This way, you’ll never have to go hunting for a Wi-Fi hotspot.

However, unlike the deal with cell phones, there are no yearly contracts and no monthly wireless bills. Furthermore, there is no need to to install any software, and no type of syncing is required.

You want more good news?

How about the fact that Amazon has sliced the price? The Kindle used to sell for $299. The new, global Kindle is $279, while the U.S. wireless model is $259. Sweet!
